Terms & Conditions.

1. Definitions  

  • "Client" refers to any individual or business engaging the services of Giarc Joinery.

  • "Giarc Joinery" refers to any team member, trading as Giarc Joinery.

  • "Services" refers to the joinery services provided by Giarc Joinery.

  • "Contract" refers to the agreement between Giarc Joinery and the Client for the provision of Services.

  • "Price" refers to the cost of the Services, as agreed upon in the quotation or invoice.

2. Quotations and Acceptance

Quotations provided by Giarc Joinery are valid for 30 days from the date of issue and are based on the information provided by the Client. Any changes to the specifications may result in a revised quotation. Acceptance of a quotation constitutes a legally binding contract for the provision of the Services described in the quotation. Acceptance can be written, verbal, or by commencement of the work by Giarc Joinery with the Client's knowledge.

3. Payment

Our payment terms are as follows:

  • A deposit may be required upon acceptance of the quotation, with the remaining balance due upon completion of the Services.

  • All deposits must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the agreed-upon work start date, unless otherwise agreed upon.

  • We accept payments by cash or bank transfer unless otherwise agreed upon..

  • Failure to make payment may result in suspension of work and debt recovery proceedings.

  • In the event of cancellation by the Client, any materials specifically purchased for the project are non-refundable. The Client will be responsible for the full cost of these materials.

4. Cancellation

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • The Client has the right to cancel the Contract within (14) days of acceptance, subject to a cancellation fee of £25.

  • Cancellations after this period may incur further charges for work already completed and materials ordered.

  • All cancellations must be made in writing to info@giarc.co.uk or via the previously established method of communication.

5. Variations

Any variations to the original specifications agreed upon in the quotation must be agreed upon in writing before the work commences. This may affect the Price and completion date.

6. Completion Date

We will endeavor to complete the Services by the estimated completion date, but this date is an estimate and is not guaranteed. Factors such as weather and material availability may affect the completion date.

7. Materials

Any materials supplied by Giarc joinery will be specified in the quotation. It is the clients responsibility to ensure that any materials they provide are correct and available on-site.

Unless otherwise agreed, the client is responsible for any leftover or waste materials.

8. Warranty

Giarc Joinery guarantees the quality of our workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of completion. this warranty covers defects arising from faulty installation or poor craftmanship.

any materials supplied by Giarc joinery are covered by manufacturers warranty. we do not accept responsibility for defects in materials provided by the client or third parties.

This warranty does not cover general wear and tear, accidental damage, improper maintenance, exposure to moisture, structural movement, or any modifications or repairs carried out by others.

All warranty claims must be submitted in writing, and Giarc joinery reserves the right to inspect and asses any issues before providing a solution.

9. Disputes

We aim to resolve any disputes amicably. Please contact us if you have any concerns.  

10. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with the quotation, constitute the entire agreement between the parties relating to the Services.  

11. Data Protection

Giarc joinery collects and stores customer information solely for tax and legal purposes in compliance with HMRC regulations. Personal data, such as names, addresses, and contact details, is securely stored and retained for up to six years as required by law. we do not use customer information for marketing purposes or share it with third parties unless legally required. All data is handled responsibly and kept secure to protect customer privacy.

12. Site Accessibility

The Client is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the site for Giarc Joinery's personnel and equipment. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Clear and unobstructed access to the work area.

  • Adequate lighting and ventilation.

  • Safe working conditions, free from hazards.

  • Provision of necessary utilities, such as electricity and water, if required.

  • Suitable parking for Giarc Joinery's vehicles.

Any costs incurred by Giarc Joinery due to inadequate site access will be the responsibility of the Client. We reserve the right to refuse to commence or suspend work if, in our reasonable opinion, the site access is unsafe or unsuitable.
